The RØDECaster Pro is a great piece of gear that's simple to use. To help get you started, here are a few basics. Don't forget, you'll need to bring a USB-C cable to connect to your laptop or a microSD card to record directly onto.

Turn it on

Turn on by pressing the red power button at the back of the interface.

A screen with the logo and a range of channels should appear.


Turn it off

When you hit the power button (on purpose or accidentally), you’ll be prompted with a notification to confirm shut down.


RØDECaster Pro touchscreen 

There are three key menus available through the touchscreen, tap the Cog icon to access these settings. These are where you can make changes such as USB connectivity, microphone level, and connectivity, and sound effects. 


Audio menu

This where you make changes to individual channels such as the type of microphone that’s connected, the overall level of the channel, and turning effects on or off.


Sounds menu

This menu is where you can record sounds which are triggered by the pads on the right-hand side of the unit. Open the menu, then tap a button on the screen to record audio to the assigned pad.


Hardware menu

The hardware menu is where you will enable or disable multichannel USB recording, view the microSD card capacity, and also make changes to the Bluetooth settings.
